EVERY
EXCUSE GOES
ON RECORD.

HOPPP! seals your apps and the sites they hide behind for as long as you say. Open one early and you won't get a timer — you'll get a gatekeeper who has read your file and wants to know, on the record, why. And when you've kept your end of the bargain, it sends you somewhere with no screen in it at all.

01 · The procedure

It doesn't block you.
It interviews you.

Most blockers put up a wall and hope you respect it. HOPPP! opens a conversation you have to win. Four steps, every time you reach for the thing you said you'd stop reaching for.

01
Intake
Open your file
Eight questions: the objective, the hours you're losing, what you do all day. Then you hire a gatekeeper. That file is what every later ruling is measured against.
02
Seal
Start a session
Pick the apps. Pick the sites, because the same feed opens in a browser. Set a duration. Everything you picked is held — not hidden — until the clock runs out.
03
Petition
Make your case
Reach for something sealed and the gate opens first. Type your reason. You get up to three turns, and it already knows every reason it denied you today.
04
Ruling
Receive a verdict
Granted buys you a pass measured in minutes, then the seal closes again. Denied and it stays shut. Either way it's filed, and the Record does the arithmetic.

02 · Under the hood

Four things it does
that the others don't.

Every blocker promises discipline. HOPPP! promises something harder: a conversation with someone who has the receipts, a seal the browser can't walk around, and a plain answer about where your words go.

The rubric
Same judgment. Different voice.
Your reason is scored before anyone speaks — specific, bounded, tied to the goal, the right tool for it. Whoever you hired only changes how the verdict sounds.

The seal
The browser is not a loophole.
Blocking the app isn't enough — the same feed opens in a tab. Seal the domains too. A sealed app can't tap you on the shoulder either: its notifications are dismissed until the session ends. A granted pass unseals only the one thing you argued for, only for the minutes you were given.

Enforcement
It survives your phone.
Reboot it, update it, let Android kill the service — the session comes back armed and the clock kept running. The way around a seal shouldn't be waiting for a crash.

Your ruling needs a model, so the petition, your goal and the app go to our AI provider — and come back. Your account, your case file and anything you post on Analogue sync. Nothing is sold, ever. The privacy policy lists all of it.

03 · Try it on yourself

Make your case.
Right now.

Here's the moment the whole app turns on. You've reached for YouTube for the third time today. Type your reason and file it. This page runs the same four-axis rubric the app falls back on when it's offline — so the stamp you get here is the stamp you'd get there.

04 · Personnel

Same judgment.
Different voice.

Eight gatekeepers, all unlocked from the first day. The rubric rules before any of them speaks, so the verdict is identical whoever is on duty — the one you hire only decides how it lands. Swap the moment the current one stops working on you.

The ArchivistDry mirror · Bureau · default

A records clerk who has read everything you've ever typed. Verdicts as paperwork.

Probe
"Plausible. The record wants one detail: which one, exactly?"
Denied
"That is a habit, not a task. Denied and filed. A task has a name and an end."
Granted
"Specific, bounded, tied to the work. Granted, and it goes on the record."
Every voice ships unlocked. Change yours in Your case → Gatekeeper.

The rubricBefore a word is spoken your reason is scored on four axes — is it specific, is it bounded, is it tied to the goal you filed, is this app the proportionate tool for it. Reword a reason that was already denied and it scores worse, not better. Ask a fourth time in a session and the bar goes up.

Which is why the voice can be anything. Nobody in that lineup can be flattered, worn down, or talked around, because none of them decides anything. They read out a number that was settled before they arrived.

One exception, and it belongs to all eight: if your reason sounds like an emergency, the gate opens on the spot. Fifteen minutes, no questions, no character. Nobody should have to prove a crisis to a phone.

05 · The other half

Sometimes the ruling is
go outside.

Your gatekeeper keeps you on the goal. Analogue gets you out of the file entirely — three or four people, a public place, an hour that isn't a screen. No swipe, no feed, no profile pic. The people are a side effect of the activity, not the point.

What's on
Outings in your city
A board of what's open near you this week, with the spots left on each. Ask to join one. Public places only, groups of three or four.
Or host
Name the goal, not the vibe
"Saturday coffee walk." A café, a park, a court — somewhere with other people in it. Pick the day, the time, the number of spots, and the Bureau fills them.
Sixteen and over
A real person, first
A name, an age, a city before you can join anything — the minimum the others deserve when strangers meet in public. Hosting needs your city confirmed. Analogue opens at 16.
Thirty seconds
Then a quiet debrief
Three questions afterwards: the vibe, what surprised you, whether you'd see them again. Never shown to the group. It only teaches the matcher who to sit you with next.

06 · The file, in your hand

Three tabs. One file.

Case, Record, Analogue — the three places you go. Every surface is a document: square corners, warm ink on aged paper, one rubber stamp per ruling.

07 · Founder's note

Why I'm building a blocker
that argues back.

I tried every blocker. I learned every passcode I set for myself. The wall always came down because a wall asks nothing of you — you just climb it and feel a little worse.

What actually stopped me, once, was a friend asking "weren't you supposed to be doing the thing?" — and me having to say the excuse out loud. It collapsed instantly. Excuses only survive in silence.

So HOPPP! makes you say it out loud, to someone who's keeping score. Not to shame you — to make the dishonest version of the choice impossible to type with a straight face. That's the whole product. A gatekeeper, a file, and the truth you already know.

Migrated to Kotlin Multiplatform in 2026. If something's broken, confusing, or missing — or if you have a feature idea — message me directly. Not a feedback form. Directly.
